Rocking Kids

Our Preschool curriculum

Our curriculum embodies an exclusively international standard, seamlessly blending Montessori and Multiple Intelligence methodologies. It represents a distinctive fusion of traditional play-based approaches and cutting-edge technology, setting it apart from other educational frameworks. Designed to mold a child’s personality by instilling values, honing skills, fostering analytical thinking, and enhancing visual perception through interactive tools, our curriculum stands as a hallmark of innovation.

With a primary emphasis on holistic development, our program facilitates cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth through a variety of activities. It places a strong emphasis on hands-on learning experiences, supplemented by field trips, themed days, culminating events, and exploratory learning opportunities.

Crafting an Ideal Curriculum

An optimal preschool curriculum should foster children’s growth while nurturing their individual expression. Instead of merely dictating what children must learn, it should cultivate an environment conducive to learning. This entails a curriculum designed with a deep understanding of how children learn, prioritizing their developmental stages and cognitive processes.

Rocking Kids Preschool has crafted a curriculum tailored for ages 1 to 6, drawing inspiration from renowned educational theories. Grounded in principles of child development and Piaget’s theory of intellectual growth, it integrates elements from Reggio Emilia’s approach to early education, emphasizing creativity and exploration. Furthermore, it incorporates aspects of Dr. Maria Montessori’s child-centered methodology, which emphasizes sensory-motor activities for holistic learning. Additionally, the curriculum aligns with Dr. Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences, recognizing and nurturing diverse talents and abilities in each child.

How Does our Curriculum Progress:

The curriculum spans 180 days, accounting for school celebrations, festivals, and holidays. Additionally, a buffer of 20 to 30 days allows teachers ample time to cover material thoroughly, ensuring children’s conceptual understanding before transitioning to formal schooling (1st grade).

Each monthly topic addresses Language, Numeracy, Social-Emotional, Creative, and Cognitive skills. Furthermore, our curriculum suggests storybooks to aid moral development, fostering positive behavioral attributes.

For each lesson or activity, clear objectives, aims, and required materials are outlined. Detailed procedures empower teachers to effectively deliver content, introducing new vocabulary and sight words to enhance reading skills.

To monitor student progress, assessment sheets are provided for teachers, facilitating comprehensive progress reports.

At the conclusion of each theme, a list of poems and activity sheets equips teachers with supplementary resources for further engagement and learning.
